Royal Caribbean Food
Everyone knows a cruise is all about the food! It's definitely one of my favorite parts! The food on Royal Caribbean was amazing! There were several dining options available. For breakfast, you could go to the buffet, the dining room, or the promenade restaurants. The promenade had a few little restaurants that were open 24 hours if I remember correctly. One was a sandwich and snack shop. This was included in your cruise ticket. You could get cold sandwiches, jello, cookies, and a few snacks. They also have specialty coffee for purchase. Another place on the promenade deck, which was one of my favorites, was the pizza restaurant. They had several kinds of pizza, desserts, and fresh salads. They also had iced water that was perfect to grab whenever you are passing by. For lunch you have the same options. You can also eat at specialty restaurants, like a steakhouse or Mexican restaurant for an additional charge. One of my favorite places to eat was Johnny Rockets. You got unlimited fries and onion rings, burgers, sodas, and a sundae to end your meal. It was delicious and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was so much fun!
At dinner, most people ate in their dining room. For dinner, you get a full course meal. When you first sit down they bring you ice water, along with tea or lemonade if you want it. You also get your choice of bread, which you can get more of. You then order you appetizer and main entree. Then you choose a delicious dessert! Our waiter was very concerned about us eating and would make ask us if we wanted more of anything, and would almost get offended if we didn't. It was really funny! My favorite meal I had is in the pictures below. I started with the fruit cup. I had grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and vegetables for my entree. Then for dessert I tried the carrot cake, and the Royal chocolate cake! Dessert was definitely my favorite!
Overall, the quality of the food was amazing! I personally liked the food better on Royal Caribbean, than on Carnival cruises. I hope this shows you a little more about what food on a cruise ship is all about! Here are some pictures of the food I had at some of the ports too!
