Hello Dolly Bars
I originally made these bars because I had some leftover shredded coconut from a German chocolate cake I made. My Mom told me, "why don't you make Hello Dolly Bars." I had never heard of them but I was surprised at how easy they were to make and how delicious they were!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
12 graham cracker sheets, pulsed in a food processor to a fine crumb
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 1/4 cup shredded coconut
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
In a mircowave safe bowl, melt butter. Add graham cracker crumbs and stir until mixed thoroughly. Press mixture into a lightly greased 8 x 8 baking dish.
Alternately layer chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and shredded coconut. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the entire top(this will help keep all the ingredients together).
Bake for 25 minutes, until the top is just beginning to brown. Let bars cool before serving. Store covered at room temperature.
